Nat (only somewhat jokingly) calls James my "life book." I suppose I like it because it is blunt, practical, and full of wisdom. That being said, I love the very beginning: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything." (James 1:2-4) I love that, "not lacking in anything."
